What do parent Governors do?

Parent Governors act as individuals on the Governing body having equal status with all other Governors. They are there to use their skills and judgement in the same way as the other Governors. They are not meant to be mouthpieces for the parents.

Parent Governors can have a really important role in helping to communicate about the school, asking questions and providing support. They can help to encourage the interest of other parents and generally develop the partnership between parents and the school.
